Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Academix Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences (AJPS) publishes high-quality, peer-reviewed original research articles, review papers, and short communications in all areas of pharmaceutical sciences, drug delivery, pharmacology, pharmaceutics, and related biomedical fields. Authors are requested to follow the guidelines carefully to ensure smooth processing of their submission.


1. Article Types Accepted

1.1 Original Research Articles

  • Full-length studies presenting new scientific findings.

  • There is no word limit for the submission.

1.2 Review Articles

  • Comprehensive and critical evaluations of recent research.

  • There is no word limit for the submission.

1.3 Short Communications

  • Brief reports of significant findings requiring rapid publication.

  • Recommended length: 1,500–3,000 words.


2. General Submission Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere.

  • Submissions must be in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.

  • Manuscripts should adhere strictly to the AJPS formatting and referencing style.

  • All authors must approve the submitted version.

  • Studies involving humans or animals must include ethical approval details.


3. Manuscript Structure

Please format your manuscript according to the following structure:

3.1 Title Page

Include:

  • Article title (concise and informative)

  • Full author names

  • Institutional affiliations

  • Corresponding author’s email

  • ORCID iD (optional but recommended)

3.2 Abstract

  • Maximum 250 words

  • Structured format preferred: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion

  • Include 4–6 keywords

3.3 Introduction

  • Background of the study, rationale, and objectives

  • Avoid unnecessary literature review

3.4 Materials and Methods

  • Provide sufficient detail to allow reproducibility

  • Include equipment details, chemicals, protocols, and statistical analysis

  • Ethical approval statement for human/animal studies (mandatory)

3.5 Results

  • Present data clearly with relevant tables, figures, and graphs

  • Avoid repeating table data in text

  • Report statistical significance where applicable

3.6 Discussion

  • Interpret results without redundancy

  • Compare with previously published studies

  • Highlight implications and limitations

3.7 Conclusion

  • Precise and clearly summarizing major findings

  • Avoid claims not supported by data

3.8 Acknowledgments

  • Mention funding sources, institutional support, and contributions

3.9 Conflict of Interest

Mandatory statement:

“The authors declare no conflict of interest.”
(if applicable, specify actual conflicts)

3.10 References

  • AJPS follows the Vancouver referencing style, which uses numbered in-text citations and a numbered reference list in the order of appearance.

  • Cite references using Arabic numerals in square brackets.

  • Numbers should appear in the order they are cited in the text. 

    Example:

      • “Ibuprofen nanoparticles improved dissolution significantly [1].”

      • “Several studies support this finding [2,3].”

  • For multiple citations: Use hyphens for a continuous range: [4–7] or use commas for non-continuous citations: [2,5,9]
  • Provide DOIs wherever available

3.11 Data Availability Statement

Authors should include a Data Availability Statement in their manuscript indicating where the data supporting the findings of the study can be accessed.

Examples:

• Data available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request.

• Data available in a public repository (provide link).

• All data are included within the article or supplementary files.


4. Formatting Guidelines

Text Formatting

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt

  • Line spacing: 1.5

  • Margins: 1 inch on all sides

  • Page numbers at the bottom right

  • Tables and figures inserted at appropriate positions in the text

Figures

  • Minimum resolution: 300 dpi

  • Acceptable formats: JPG, PNG, TIFF

  • Number and title below the figure

Tables

  • Number and title above the table

  • Do not use vertical lines

  • Ensure readability


5. Ethical Requirements

Human Subjects

  • Provide ethical committee approval number

  • Mention informed consent

Animal Studies

  • Follow CPCSEA or institutional guidelines

  • Provide ethical clearance ID

Plagiarism

  • Submissions must have <10% similarity (excluding references)

  • AJPS uses plagiarism detection software


6. Authorship Criteria

AJPS follows ICMJE guidelines for authorship:

  • Significant contribution to study design, data collection, or analysis

  • Drafting or revising the article

  • Approval of the final manuscript

  • Accountability for all aspects of the work

Guest authorship or gift authorship is prohibited.

ORCID iD

Academix Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences encourages all authors to register for an ORCID iD (Open Researcher and Contributor ID). ORCID provides a unique digital identifier that distinguishes researchers and ensures proper attribution of scholarly work.

Authors are encouraged to provide their ORCID iD during manuscript submission. ORCID registration is free and available at https://orcid.org


7. Article Processing Charges (If Any)

AJPS currently does not charge article processing fees.

Submission Preparation Checklist

  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.

Original Research Articles

Academix Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences (AJPS) publishes scholarly articles across pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical technology, pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, biotechnology, regulatory science, and allied health disciplines. The journal prioritizes original and reproducible research addressing contemporary challenges in solubility enhancement, nanocarrier design, hepatic and metabolic care, herbal translational science, and environment-conscious pharmaceutical development. Manuscripts are evaluated for methodological rigor, statistical validity, and ethical compliance in accordance with internationally accepted publication standards. AJPS aims to serve global readership by promoting interdisciplinary dialogue among academia, clinicians, and industry. The journal welcomes original research, reviews and short communications that synthesize emerging directions and critically cite recent literature to guide future drug-therapy research.

Review Articles

Critical and comprehensive reviews synthesizing current knowledge and recent advances in pharmaceutical sciences.

Short Communications

Brief reports presenting novel or preliminary findings of significant scientific value.
